Simplify the following basic math question:

In order to be eligible to receive the $10 gift certificate you must produce the correct answer without the aid of a calculator, show ALL work (if you don’t include all work required to justify your answer, you will be disqualified even if your final answer is correct), and you must be a currently enrolled WCCC student.  If more than one person answers the question correctly, including the proper work, then a winner will be chosen at random from these correct responses.

You can enter this contest in one of three ways. 

  1. You can download and print out this page:
    and submit your answer, including your work, to Dr. Phillips in person.
  2. Or you can bring your submission to the office of Academic Affairs and have it placed in Dr. Phillips’ mailbox.
  3. You also have the option of printing this page, filling everything out, and then scanning your submission and attaching it to an email addressed to
