James On Main – will not disappoint!

Restaurant Review

James on Main is a cozy little restaurant in downtown Hackettstown that uses locally sourced ingredients and prepares their food on an authentic wood-fire grill. The dishes range from $11-$45 depending on what you get and whether you dine for brunch or dinner. Their brunch offers an excellent selection of breakfast and lunch foods ranging from a delicious orange-spiced French toast, to a three inch thick pancake of the day, to a perfectly cooked certified Angus beef steak and eggs.

Dinner, believe it or not, is even better than brunch. They prepare a variety of meals such as their Hog Chop, a giant mouthwatering pork chop that rests on a house made spaetzle, with heirloom carrots, and a savory espresso glaze, as well as their pull-apart Norwegian Salmon, to their signature and perfectly seasoned Angus beef New York Strip. I know right now you’re asking yourself, “is it that good?”…. “YES! It really is THAT good, everything is locally sourced and wonderfully prepared. Be sure to get something off the specials as they change daily.

Also make a reservation! I came on a Tuesday night and even then they were packed” said Kat, a James on Main regular and Yelp Elite member. So you heard it from her, be sure to make a reservation and try out their specials. James on Main is located on 105 Main Street Hackettstown.
